B.Sc in Animation and Visual Effects (3 years)
This Course provides complete knowledge on 2D Classical & Digital, 3D Animation & Visual effects. The first semester covers fundamentals of art and design. The second semester includes 2D classical and digital animation. The third semester covers all the elements of 3D Animation, so that the student is capable of developing 3D short films. In the fourth semester the student is exposed to a detailed curriculum of visual effects. In the fifth semester the student chooses any one from 4 specializations offered and learns the advance features of that selected module. In the sixth semester the student builds his portfolio in this selected module.

SHOW-REEL DEVELOPMENT (6 MONTHS)
In the animation industry a show-reel is the passport to a career in a studio. A good show-reel needs to be a compilation of the best and diverse work by the students. Students at ZICA would not only develop individual show-reels, but also create short animated films under the expert guidance of experienced faculties by the end of the course.
EMERGING STUDENT PROFILE :
The emerging student would have a clear understanding of animation & VFX production pipe-line, thereby carrying the ability to become a crucial part of any animation or VFX film. He/She would fit in as a great all-rounder as the course exposes them to both animation & visual effects. This graduate will also have the maturity and the knowledge to lead a team of skilled artists to deliver the required animation or VFX. The emerging graduate can find a place in any studio developing animation / VFX films, advertisements, content for e-learning, contents for game & TV, content for business applications etc.
This course provides Dual certification. Advanced Diploma in Animation & Visual Effects from ZICA and B.Sc. Degree in Animation & Visual Effects from Himgiri Zee University.
